Conceptual Play Worlds: How to bring STEM concepts into your play- based program
Running time: Approx 75 minutes
  • Have you ever thought about the place of imagination in play and in science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) learning?
  • Do you wonder about how to bring STEM concepts into your play-based program?
  • Are you curious about how to set up a play inquiry so that children want to learn more STEM concepts to progress their play?

If these questions and more are of interest, then listen to this webinar where we talk imagination in play and imagination in STEM.

In this webinar Laureate Professor Marilyn Fleer shares with you the five characteristics of a Conceptual PlayWorld. She showcases it through both photos and videos of teachers and children in a Conceptual PlayWorld.

We explore what this looks like in practice across the early childhood cultural age span – infancy to the early years of school.

No prior knowledge is needed to join this webinar, just your curiosity and inquiring mind.
Presented by Laureate Professor Marilyn Fleer from Monash University.
